ALL AMERICAN "ELLIE ROSE" (a sporting dog???)

Here I am pondering my plight in life. I hate doggie sweaters. Shenanny just put this one on me and told me that I am an ALL AMERICAN DOGGIE!!!! She says this is the last time I will have to wear it. I hope she really means that.

I do like this picture. Makes me look like I've been in the Olympics or something. She took a whole bunch of pictures of me, and says I need to write more on my blog. So, here I sit writing while I would rather be sleeping in the sunshine on top of the blanket chest in front of the window. Shenanny promises that she will take me outside as soon as I finish this. So, here goes!!!

I played with Jazz over in the big garage at her house earlier today. Billy Bob and Barry were working on the Bass Tracker and getting it ready to go fishing before too long. Barry went trout fishing yesterday and got his limit. Jazz is lucky as she gets to go trout fishing, too. She is some kind of sporting dog and can go out on the water in the Tracker. WOW!!!

I guess I will never get to be a sporting dog. I think I belong to the "non-sporting" group. At least that is what Shenanny says. She loves all the dog shows and books. She watched the Westminster Show with me the other week. She really wanted the Golden Retriever to win Best in Show, but a silly looking little Bull Terrier won. At least he was more kin to me. I am a Boston Terrier, but a terrier in name only. Boston Terriers were bred to be fighting dogs!!! We got our start in the US in the city of Boston. I guess the bull terrier was bred for fighting, too. I don't know. Since my dog family started in the United States Shenanny says that I am an ALL AMERICAN and she put this hot patriotic sweater on me.

She says I need to write blogs more often as not many dogs can do that. I think she's trying to make a sporting dog of me, too, as she always wants me to watch the Olympics with her. We've sure enjoyed the figure skating and will watch the Skating Gala tonight as the Olympics will be coming to a close before too long. I doubt that I will be able to learn to skate, but who knows?!?!? Shenanny makes me walk around on my back feet before she will give me a piece of cheese. Maybe, I will end up wearing one of those cute little skating outfits. If I have to, I want a blue one!!! The lady from Japan was wearing blue last night and she GOT THE GOLD!!! She was very ELOQUENT. I am very eloquent, too. It's part of my name.

TTFN I want to get outside and enjoy the fresh air while the sun in shining.
Catch y'all later.

Love, Ellie Rose, hoping for the GOLD in 2010
