All Dressed Up in Feedsacks and No Place to Go!!!

What a poor pitiful looking dog I am!!!! Shenanny did it again. She likes to dress me up like she did to those cats when she was a little kid. I think she's enjoying her 2nd childhood. We do have a lot of fun, and I love the feedsacks. She had tons of them all over the sofa and chairs last night, and I couldn't find a place to sit down. She was getting ready for a lady to come look at and maybe buy some of the sacks today.

The lady came and went. Bought a few, but she just wanted them to re-sell on eBay. She didn't know anything about having a "reverence for Feedsacks", and said they were not nostalgic to her. Shenanny has lots of reverence and she's teaching me to have that, too. I love doing fun stuff with her, and don't get very bored. We will hold onto most of the sacks for now, and who knows when a person with reverence comes to our place we just might give them one!!!

Billy Bob has some reverence, too, but mostly for other things like the church. Tonight he's gone to a meeting to help decide how to take care of the church building. I think he said something about using a power washer on it. I'm not sure what that is, but I hope he doesn't use it on me. I like the simple bath that Shenanny gives me.

I wish I could go to church. Our preacher doesn't like dogs being there, though. I'm not sure if he has reverence or not!!! Shenanny said that he yelled and pounded on the pulpit and scared most of the folks last Sunday. I guess I am better off staying home and enjoying the peace and quiet. I'm learning that reverence should be a simple thing, and love goes right along with it.

God Bless You All and have a Goodnite.
Love, Ellie Rose who is a little bag lady now :o)

We are getting a wonderful rain today. It rained all night, too. The first good rain since I've lived here at my new home. We really need it as this September was the driest ever on record.

I was just running through the rain with Shenanny and Jazz. Shenanny and I went over next door and brought Jazz back here to spend the day. Jazz loves water and loves the rain. Sometimes, she gets to swim in the Shenandoah River. I hope I can go there someday, too, to see if I can swim. Shenanny took me for a ride down by the river yesterday on our way to town. It was so quiet and peaceful, but might flood now with all of this rain. We've already had over two inches.

There are lots of flowers still blooming here since we haven't had frost yet. The roses and morning glories are still beautiful. I love my name being Ellie Rose!!! It makes me feel so pretty.

Yesterday I had to go see the vet. Got my stitches out and had some other tests done. The only thing the vet could find wrong with me was my right back knee cap is loose and might slide out of place again. Actually, it did one day last week when Jazz and I collided outside. Shenanny didn't know what happened, but picked me up because my knee was locked up and my leg was out straight all the way down from the hip. Soon afterward, it was okay. It scared her as she watched me closely from then on, and told the vet yesterday. Shenanny sure thinks alot of me, and treats me like a little baby. I love it, and I love her, too!!!

Right now we are all inside listening to the rain going in the reservoir. Shenanny and I slept in this am out here in the family room so we could hear the water. It was music to our ears and made us sleepier.

Jazz and I plan to go back to sleep now while Shenanny gets busy. She has lots of work to do.

Billy Bob took his mom to the doctor and will probably take her out to lunch, too. He will be back later and take a nap, too.

Catch y'all later.

Luv, Ellie Rose

What a Posing Session!!!

Shenanny really wore Jazz and me out today. She posed us on the new sofa and was so pleased. She said that Jazz was the prettiest dog in the whole world and that I am the cutest!!!! What do you all think?

Jazz will be staying with me everyday this week as her daddy is going to Alaska and her mommy is busy teaching school and then all those other music activities. Jazz likes staying here with me and has become my forever best friend.
